Cesar Martinez received his degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the National Polytechnic School, Ecuador in 2011 and his Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. USA in 2017. Currently, César is a PhD candidate in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of New Hampshire, USA, focused on Applied Electromagnetics. At the same time, he is an Engineering leader in the Drone Racing League (DRL) since 2019, where he interacts with multiple engineering disciplines in drone design projects and their applications in which he has cooperated with multinational companies such as T-Mobile, Lockheed, Martin, Swatch, Allianz, among others.

Before of DRL. César performed various positions as a full time employee or consultant for other Startups such as American Robotics, which also develop drones, and Wilcom Inc., which focuses on fiber optic measurement equipment. During his master’s degree, César was part of the MIRSL Laboratory (Microwave Remote Sensing Laboratory) at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he developed radar systems to measure the carbon footprint of forests. At present, his interests focus on autonomy (Artificial Intelligence), communications (Wireless and wired), batteries and energy, semiconductors, and entrepreneurship and innovation (Startups).
